The all-new third-generation 2025 Nissan Armada has just debuted, and with it comes new features, luxuries, amenities, and upgrades that will make everyone looking for a large three-row SUV very happy. While some information, such as pricing, will be available soon, there are quite a few new treats to report on.
A new 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 is replacing the 5.6-liter V8 that’s served admirably in the Armada since 2003.
The new V6 powering Armada produces 425 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. This is up from 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque compared to the outgoing V8. The second-generation Nissan SUV was able to tow up to 7,300 lbs, while the latest generation will tow 8,500 lbs when properly equipped.
For 2025, buyers will be able to choose from five different trim levels, including SV, SL, Pro-4X, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve. Most models offer either rear-wheel drive or Nissan Intelligent 4WD. The Pro-4X is the only Armada that features standard 4WD. All models will feature standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as six USB-C ports throughout the interior, and SL trim and higher will receive a wireless charger in the center console. A 12-speaker, 600-watt Klipsch premium sound system with a DualPower subwoofer will also be available.
SV and SL trims feature two 12.3-inch displays, one for the gauge cluster and another for the infotainment display, while Pro-4X, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve come with 14.3-inch displays.
Nissan says that the cargo space behind the third row in the Armada has increased by 24% to 20.4 cu.ft. With the third row folded, owners will find 56.3 cu.ft., an increase of 6 cu.ft., and with all seats folded, the Armada opens up to 97.1 cu.ft. of total cargo space.
ProPilot Assist uses Intelligent Cruise Control to keep the SUV centered in its lane and ensure a safe distance from the vehicles in front of it. This system is standard on SV and Pro-4X trims. SL, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve can add ProPilot Assist 2.1, which allows drivers to take their hands off the wheel on certain roads and let the Armada handle those duties, as well as braking and accelerating.
Nissan went above and beyond to make sure the brand new 2025 Armada was as safe as possible. All trim levels come standard with Nissan Safety Shield 360, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, High Beam Assist, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Automatic Braking, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, plus Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention, and Intelligent Lane Intervention.
